Introduction to Graphic Design
a. Design is purposeful
b. Design is informational
c. Design uses a visual language
d. Design is a process
What you just read is a text book introduction to graphic design. Sounds very impressive doesn't it? We could go on and discuss other principles such as color theory, composition and layout, perspective, typography, or any myriad of intricacies involved in the design process, but we won't bore you with that. We'd like to sum it up with you asking yourself one very simple question: "Does it look good?" When something looks bad, the average person may not be able to tell you why it looks bad, they just know they don't like it. Be assured, that's not an impression you want to convey to established or potential clients.
Whether it be for print, multi-media, trade show, or Internet, good graphic design remains a necessary constant. A constant that we here at Polydactyl, Inc. strive to be the best at. We have years of experience and know how to create design that's eyecatching and sells.
Give us a try, and let us worry about the details.
